HEALTH MINISTRY

The clinics aren’t designed for “just church members, but also the community.”

“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.” Matthew 9:35

Medical Ministries’ calling is simply to share the love of Christ in a practical way through specialized medical care. This is what we do and we do it with love, care and respect for each patient we serve.

Our programs provide comprehensive, whole-person care regardless of circumstance, status or religion.

Although our missions seek to serve the poor with their physical needs we also seek to serve their spiritual needs. We believe healing the sick as healthcare professionals is an expression of God’s love in a tangible way. We also believe that Jesus died for all humanity and this is the ultimate expression of God’s love for all people, everywhere. Therefore, each team seeks to serve the poor on each mission trip through the provision of modern medicine as well as sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What good would it be to bring healing to the body and neglect the soul? Our mission is ministry to both, “that some may be saved.”

The idea is to pick up the underserved communities who don't have health care. … It keeps people out the emergency room because the emergency room is the highest form of cost for health care,”

The senator noted that many of the clinic locations are positioned in “health care deserts,” meaning that residents of those locations are in “rural health care communities” or places where health care is “between 5-15 miles away.”

Since the funds to run each clinic are provided by the state, patients don’t need insurance, co-pay money and can expect no wait time. Patients are not seen based on their income levels, so even those with insurance can receive free health care services from the licensed medical staff at each clinic.

Medical Ministries Inc. specializes in the areas of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, smoking cessation, labs, pharmacy, health issues, preventative health care and EKG.
